Leaf me alone

 For my textiles project I decided to create a large pillow (about a meter in length) to decorate my room. I went through quite a few ideas and sketches until this came along. The idea was to make a pillow with a leaf on it and the caption 'Leaf me alone'. It seemed like a very fun idea so I went with it.
For the colours of it I chose blue for the base and green for the leaf. I chose those bright colours to add some colour into my room as it is quite bland.     The main phases were adding the detail and lining onto the leaf, the writing and overall transforming it into a pillow. The phases did not have many difficulties if any. Stitching the leaf onto the fabric was a bit challenging due to trying to get as close to the edges as possible, other than that there were no difficulties in the phases. It all just passed by greatly. It was also fun to see how the embroidery machine was used from designing it on the computer to seeing it on a textiles piece. I chose a relatively small and lean font for my text but I am happy with it. Not to mention it was quite the learning experience, along with a few sewing machines working against me. I did learn quite a few things so that is always a bonus.

Overall, the final result was good and I am very happy with it and it will definatly come to use.
